After three successful days at CUE in Rotterdam Ahoy, the NETGEAR AV fun was far from over for me. In the final two days of that week, we immediately jumped into the preparations for something truly special: the largest NETGEAR AV demo rack ever built for ISE!
Fortunately, I didn’t have to take on this adventure alone. My highly valued colleague Laurent Masia, the spiritual father of our AV switches, travelled all the way from Paris to our office in Zoetermeer to help tackle this enormous project together.
A Monster‑Sized Rack – Fully Built in Just Two Days
In just two days, we fully assembled and configured this gigantic rack using NETGEAR Engage, our powerful AV management platform.
And that’s not all:
- We gave our new Neutrik switch a prominent position.
- Our 16‑port 100Gbps switch — an absolute powerhouse — was added as well.
- All switches were mounted using our new 4‑Post Mounting Kit, ensuring they remain perfectly aligned even during heavy transport.
The only real challenge we ran into?
The inrush current of all devices powering on at once was a bit too enthusiastic, causing the circuit breaker to trip. But with our set of PDU units powered up one by one, that hurdle was quickly overcome as well.
The photo shows the rack and the boxes just as I found them on Thursday morning: an impressive mountain of hardware practically begging to be assembled.
